Arancina Live is run by Angelo Romano, a Sicilian based in Palermo. Behind it are more than ten years on the European music circuit, as a touring artist, booker and agency founder, and fifteen years as a Python engineer.
Music
Started on stage
The booking started with Angelo’s own tours across Europe as an independent artist: routing, budgets, logistics, promotion and settlement, all self-managed.
In Barcelona, Angelo later ran an independent booking and management agency, with a small roster and dates for touring artists from Europe, the Americas and the Middle East.
Arancina Live continues that work from Palermo, with venues, festivals and other kinds of events across Sicily and Europe.
Software
Fifteen years of engineering
Angelo has worked as a Python engineer in Berlin, Utrecht and Barcelona and now works remotely from Palermo, on back-end systems, APIs and architecture, from large consumer platforms to database systems for very large datasets.
That includes leading technical teams and a stint as CTO and co-founder of a startup. Angelo also holds a master’s degree in information technology.
The Arancina Live platform comes from that experience: Angelo designed and built it, first for the agency’s own work.
How we work
What you can expect
- Emails go straight to Angelo, who replies personally.
- Write in Italian or Sicilian, Angelo’s native languages, or in English or Spanish. Dutch and Catalan work at an intermediate level, German and French only a little.
- We keep the management roster small on purpose.
- We write decisions down so we can come back to them.
- If a proposal does not suit you, we say so before confirming.
